Protecting the Environment

We are committed to protecting the environment; our Environmental Management Systems is accredited by UKAS – ISO 14001: 2015. We are continuously monitoring & reviewing the environmental impacts & aspects of our business, processes and products.

We incorporate the 3 R’s: reduce, re-use or re-cycle, as part of our operational mindset. On site, we make sure we communicate with affected parties to minimise complaints and disruption. We are vigilant in controlling noise, vibration, dust and pollution. We utilise our plant, machinery and vehicles efficiently, with regular maintenance carried out on all.

Like many of our clients, Flatley Construction is committed to protecting the environment. Not only do we comply with the relevant environmental legislation, we assess and monitor the environmental impact of our business, processes and products.

We procure materials that have the least adverse effect on the environment, local residents and employees. We choose supplies from sustainable sources, where applicable, and opt for less hazardous / friendlier substitute products when available. We also procure to exact quantities to avoid waste and ensure that waste materials are disposed of correctly, re-cycled or re-used. We also buy from suppliers local to our sites wherever possible, to minimise vehicle delivery distances. We are keen to minimize our impact on the environment in whatever way we can, and to be a responsible employer and a good neighbour in the communities in which we operate.
